Last night I was filming for BBC South Today in Abingdon with my trusty PMW-500. The night started around 9:30pm and then the long wait began.
Sadly Vale of The White Horse District Council only allowed the media access to the counting floor for 5 minutes so obtaining a good range of close up shots was nearly impossible.
I worked with Jessica Banham to cover the story and we filmed and interviewed the candidates as the results were announced.
The count did not start till 2am and the first result was around 5am.
We then returned to my van to clip and send some clips for breakfast and then edited the full package that can be seen below.
Layla Moran secured her position as Lib Dem MP and was a joy to interview.
