Today has been a court day for ITV Meridian at Reading Crown Court with Heather Edwards.
47-year-old Laurens Brand was told he'll serve a minimum of 16 years and eight months for the murder of his wife Angela Mittal, 41. She was found dead at a property in Parker Close - just before 6 o'clock in the morning on Boxing Day.
The sentencing lasted from 2pm to 5:50pm and with Heather in court I hung around outside. Kit was set up and Heather came out just in time to be wired up and she was then headlining live at the top of the bulletin.
Was a close call.....I love live TV.
